The Owners of a growing master-planned, four-season, private mountain residential resort golf community wanted to add a Fitness Center to their ever-evolving amenity offerings with a desire to satisfy the wants of current members and friends, accommodate growth of the community, and attract new members. In creating the new Fitness Center and Golf Support Amenities for the 12-hole, par-3 Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Park, our objective was to seamlessly add to the existing Village Center and Poolside Grill building, integrate the design into the existing Mountain Modern aesthetic of the development, maximize usable new (and existing) space, optimize function and efficiency, take full advantage of spectacular views in an extraordinary setting, and create a delightful and memorable experience for current and future users. The trend in today's Resort Club is modern sophistication and comfort--this Fitness Center has an added layer of upscale 'urban attitude.' Organic materials, forms, and colors were used in abundance: wood, stone, oxidized metal; organic forms that echo the natural landscape, and a color palette that is nuanced, warm, interactive with light, reflective of the surrounding land...and as a consequence, the spaces feel alive.
